Explore your triggers and work towards healthier choices
Has an evening drink become an automatic routine? Perhaps you reach for wine or alcohol after a stressful day, when you feel bored, or as a way to switch off.
You may want to understand your drinking patterns, change particular routines or find different ways to manage stress and difficult emotions.
I offer confidential, personalised hypnotherapy and coaching for adults who want to explore the habitual and emotional side of their drinking.
Appointments are available in Leighton Buzzard and Swanbourne, near Winslow and Buckingham, or online throughout the UK.

What We Can Work On
Depending on your circumstances and agreed goals, sessions can focus on:
- Understanding when and why you reach for a drink
- Recognising stress, boredom and social triggers
- Exploring the beliefs connected to drinking
- Developing alternative ways to relax
- Building confidence in social situations
- Strengthening motivation and practising new routines
- Learning relaxation and self-hypnosis techniques
This is a collaborative process. Your involvement, practice and commitment matter, and no particular result or number of sessions can be guaranteed.
What Happens During a Session?
We begin with a confidential conversation about your drinking patterns, health history, previous attempts to make changes and what you would like support with.
Before proceeding, we discuss whether this service is appropriate or whether medical or specialist alcohol support is needed first.
Where suitable, sessions combine therapeutic conversation, hypnosis, visualisation and coaching techniques tailored to your goals.
You remain aware, in control and able to communicate throughout.
Important: Alcohol Dependence and Withdrawal
This service is not alcohol detoxification or a replacement for specialist addiction treatment.
If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, do not suddenly stop drinking or substantially reduce your intake without medical advice. Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous.
If you experience shaking, sweating, nausea or anxiety when delaying a drink or cutting down, contact your GP or a specialist alcohol service before booking.
Seizures, hallucinations or severe shaking require emergency help: call 999.
Food Cravings and Emotional Eating
If your main concern is reaching for chocolate, crisps or snacks when stressed or bored, sessions can explore those routines, emotional triggers and alternative responses.
For more structured support, visit my Weight Loss Hypnotherapy page.
This service is not treatment for an eating disorder.
